BIOGRAPHY

Benjamin Kontoh is a Ghanaian fashion designer, Stylist, Creative Director and Founder of Brush&Saccy Bespoke Tailors. Benjamin found his passion for fashion in his junior high-school days and has been designing and making clothes till date. Born in Accra-Ghana on the 7^th of December 1982, he graduated from Prempeh College in 2001. During High-School he already owned a custom T-shirt clothing line called “Akivy Denim “making custom Jeans, Jackets, Caps, T-shirts. He got his first degree at Cape Coast University in 2007 and read Social Studies. He was the official fashion designer for Miss U.C.C beauty pageant while he was there. After his first degree he left Ghana for further education. He holds a master’s degree in Cryptography and Network Security from Nanjing University and a diploma in Bespoke Tailoring from London. While working in Shanghai, China he founded the Shanghai Black Fashion Week, to groom support fashion graduates, upcoming and professional fashion designers. He was the first and only black bespoke tailor who owned a flagship stores in Shanghai and Hong Kong from 2012 till date.He has worked with prestigious brands like W Hotels, Maserati, Bentley, Lincoln and Mini Cooper. He has worked in London, USA, Japan, Hong-Kong, Shanghai and Ghana.

 Brush&Saccy (herein referred to as B&S Bespoke) is a luxury bespoke clothing brand founded in 2012, offers traditional handmade bespoke clothing, shoes and accessories with a design aesthetic rooted in Savile Row,  London with a twist of African and contemporary fashion. B&S Bespoke is an international clothing brand with operations in London, USA, Shanghai and Ghana.

With the finest super 120’s wool we offer premium bespoke services with handmade craftsmanship and cut by our team of highly skilled tailors. Your garment is created specifically for your silhouette/body shape to perfection with between 2-3 fittings before completion. Our entry price for bespoke services starts from $2,000. Our bespoke suits adhere to the age-old disciplines and etiquettes of London’s Saville Row tailoring with a touch of Benjamin Kontoh’s unique style, colors and finishing. Our client’s get to choose from our wide range of British and Italian fabrics, buttons, stitching, special linings, special house cuts, special effects and detailing not found in regular suits. Our Bespoke shoes service also provides a wide-range of shoe models from dress shoes, casual, boots and slippers. We use high quality Italian leathers like Calf, Suede, Patent, Crocodile, Alligator and Python all in different colors.
